Can anybody tell me how the fishing is in mid to late August on Ky Lake? I would like to do a little bass, crappie or bluegill fishing. I have a week off and thinking of going down there for a few days. I have never been there so any advice would be appreciated.

Most likely day. Not looking for monsters. Just didn't want to drive all the way down there and get skunked.
Eddy creek around the marina on the rip rap by the ramp I fish it at night and do good if all you are wanting is bites worms, cranks popr buzzbait
Where do you stay when you are down there? I hear the Moors is a nice place to stay. Is that close to Eddy Creek?
i have stayed at eddy creek marina it nice after labor day there rates get cheeper this year we stayed at eddybay resort and it a real nice place to about the same price and the ramp is about a few 100 yards there oh yah this is on lake barkley
I stat at the relax inn usually but when the family goes eddy creek resort on barkley or on ky. lake cypress bay resort down near paris.
Bass fishing is normally good during August....of course it is normally pretty warm in August. I would recommend The Moor's as a place to stay jif you are planning on staying on the north end. Expect to find the bass on the ledges but there is normally some shallow water bite early and late in the day and also a good night bite if you want to fish at night. Crappie really is not a big target here in August. You can catch some bluegill around any of the deeper docks during the summer. White Bass is the primary target for panfish anglers in the summer.
Thanks for the information.
