Question guist creek boat traffic ??? Info/advice

i havent been in several years but saturday my wife and son are going toa b-day party and i might head that way. i was just curious if the lake gets pounded with pleasure boats and i know they have a certain area where you can ski so was just curious as to how bad it gets or if its still managable. or, should i go somewhere else, is it even worth fishing ths time of year.

    Thanks for any info.

i was there the last week of june on a tuesday and there wasnt very many fun boaters out, but it doesnt take more than a few to make it hard to fish the main lake. i havent been on a weekend since it got hot, but in the past it has been rough. i dont understand why they allow skiing on such a small lake. they do have a couple of no-ski areas that are pretty good for fishing, and the no wake can be good also. even with the hot temps, i had three nice bass and several throwbacks and one just under 13''. good luck if you go

I was wondering the same thing. I live 40 min from there and was thinking about trying some bass fishing there. Is it worth the time? I'm curious to see what others have to say!

This time of year, you might want to go as early as you can or set out late in the afternoon. I heard the night-fishing on this lake is good right now.

I was there about a month ago with only one skier and with it being so small I got rocked pretty hard the whole day it seems like.

Re: guist creek boat traffic ??? Info/advice

I was out there the Friday before July 4th and I didn't think it was too bad. There was one section near the dam where it is a ski area that a couple of tubers and jet skier kept going back and forth, But other than that, the rest of the lake was pretty nice. And even there, the tubes and jet skis seemed less obtrusive than being out on Taylorsville.
