Well, it's 5:10 a.m. and I am home, not at the lake. As I do everytime I leave for the lake, I go through my pre-departure ritual. One of those check off items is to ensure my boat key is in my possession. NOPE!!!

I keep my key in the console of my truck, always.... well almost always I guess. I arose at 1:30 a.m. this morning, excited to be heading back to the lake. I was in my truck at 2:30 preparing to leave. I checked and no key. I began a very careful search for my key, flashlight a shining. Hmmm, hope none of the neighbors were frightened...LOL. I did try to keep my light off their windows. Anyway, I searched the truck, the boat, and my house. All to no avail. So I am staying home today. Maybe tomorrow will be better for fishing anyway. Everything happens for a reason.

I do have a spare key ..... somewhere... LOL I have to find it, and of course get a new floating key chain.

So why happy and sad? I am sad not to be going fishing, but I am so very HAPPY that have my rituals, and I found the key missing before I made the 1 hour 45 minutes drive to the lake.

PS, my partner was not as uhmmmm, well let's just say he did not take my call early this morning as easily as I offerred it to him.
