The poor girl broke into tears when it got too dark to fish any more. Her Mon told us she was talking about her "fishin trip" in her sleep that night, so I think all is good :-)

I took my little girl fishing today, she is 2.5. She let dad set the hook and reeled in several small bluegill none like that though.

A large bass nailed one of the gills and pulled the rod out of her hand! Dad threw on a 4/0 hook on his rod and tossed a gill and BAM fish on! I held the rod and let her reel it in. Fish was 22" and I could put my fist in its mouth, guesstimate at about 5lbs. It her first bass with dads help and a monster, sadly I had no camera.

wow...id just have to see a 2.5 year old get in a 22 inch bass to believe it
