I had Dave fix one that I had gotten in a hurry & forgot to raise & litterally bent it back to the hull of the boat. If you didn't know what to look for you couldn't even tell it after he got done. He does excellent work.

First I would turn over the Foot paddle and make sure the shaft of the switch is turning when you turn the Knob, they will crack and just spin on the shaft and not turn the switch and if that does not work I second Dave Smoot, good guy and does good work at good price.

Now this is just too wierd, My knob has a crack in it and I use a cable tie to keep it tight on the shaft and works fine, but after make the reply I rembered mine was off alittle on my last trip to Cedar Wednesday, I walked out to the grauge and found my trolling motor just setting there running about half wide open, the motor was so hot you could barely stand to touch it. After metering every thing found the foot switch was bad so now I needs Daves number if any one has it, I had it but can't find it now. Thanks

Take it to Backwaters and they'll get it to Dave Smooth. Backwaters is great and Dave's the man. If he can't fix it, it can't be fixed!!!!!!!!!

Dave Smoot for sure. Dave has repaired many trolling motors for me and my fishing buddies for the last 30+years. Dave's a great guy and his reputation is well deserved. Take your trolling motor Dave Smoot.
