Trilene vs bass pro mono

I have 2 dauchaunds, I take them fishing etc. I have two rods one with trilene xl and the other bass pro both 10 pound test. I tied a casting plug to both and I cast it and my dogs retrieve it, and I fight them like fish.
Sounds crazy but it passes the time and the dogs get exercise, they love to go fishing there names are blue gill and striper. But anyway I noticed that the dogs bite at the line and nick it, and shake it around just plain abuse it. I found out that the trilene last alot longer inbetween breaks, the stuff is simply amazing it is one tough line. you can borrow these dogs if you are bobber fishing from shore they will watch the bobber and let you know if it starts moving.
