Been a week since I was out last. Will be fishing the Indian Creek, Beaver Creek,..Rowena Area. Is pattern still the same?.....fish 30-40 feet in early am?...then hunt for them on sonar in the 50...60...plus foot range?
Thanks![]()
Good luck! I hope you catch a few.
Just hoping the weather (RAIN) is favorable. A little time on the lake with my new setup....new rod holders for down lines.......new rod holders for planner boad rods. I could be in for a HEAP of TROUBLE if I hook up on more the ONE of these. But if all else fails, just looking for a good morning on the water...I'll have my camera with me!!!

I would say you have a good plan go for it.

Fishing was tough this am. One 32 inch fish around 6:30 on a down rod at 60 foot using shinners. Fished the mouth and mainlake at Indian Creek. Called it quites around 9:30 am. Trolling motor was dead from the get go, thus I just drifted along with the wind. Not what I had planned![]()
You get up at 6:30 am to go fishing? Man, my third round of beers hasn't worn off by then. How was the fishing between 11 am and 4 pm? I quit at 4 cause the beer meter goes off and the relay kills the trolling motor automatically.
Hey try this. Soak you shiners in a 1 quart bottle filled 50-50 with water and Tequilla. It makes the shiners smell good to the imigrant Stripers, and the shiners get their chests up and love to mess with the bigger fish. Shiners aren't afraid any more.
