And to THINK Obama was "supposed" to be liked by Europe

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,540967,00.html

THIS is WHAT you get when you elect LIBERALS into office......

How about the Hero's welcome this SCUMBAG got.

How about the FAMILIES of the 270 victims.....

I wonder if OBAMA said anything BEFORE this happened, or if he was blindsided.

I suspect, since OBAMA is a lightweight......he probably didn't know until he saw the plane leaving on CNN.......

Like I said earlier.......444 days until we can START making CHANGE we can BELIEVE IN.......

    "YES WE WILL"

Hmmm, Faux news didn't report Obama's opposition to this? Thought they were supposted to be fair and balanced. From other news sources: yes he knew in advance and let the Scottish know that the US was not in favor of this scum being released. Stick with the facts and your rants might actually be worth reading.

For the record, the guy should have been left to rot in the Scottish jail.

Btw, why is McCain in Libia right now?

Sorry, my bad. Faux news did have some comments from Obama and the white house in the link you posted:

President Barack Obama said the decision to free the terminally ill bomber on compassionate grounds was a mistake and warned Libya not to give him a hero's welcome.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said Thursday the United States disagreed with the decision to free al-Megrahi.
"We continue to believe that Megrahi should serve out his sentence in Scotland," Gibbs said. "On this day, we extend our deepest sympathies to the families who live every day with the loss of their loved ones."

Guess those partisian blinders caused you to miss those and come up with your own story.

So, if we had a conservative president, Scotland would not have released him, and/or Lybia wouldn't have given him a hero's welcome? Care to explain that?

If Reagan was in office they wouldn't have released him. Did you notice that you never heard a peep out of Kadafi after a few 1 thousand pound bombs landed in his front yard.

Re: And to THINK Obama was "supposed" to be liked by Europe

My opinion is that there's absolutely no connection between this terrorist's release and who is our sitting President, but I guess we'll have to agree to disagree on that. One thing I'm glad of is that Ghadafi's disavowal of terrorism, which has lead to the removal of sanctions against Libya, has been exposed as the sham it really is.

Attributing this turn of events to Obama being a "lightweight" is, IMHO, unfair. But if he has any spine, then there needs to be an appropriate response, one a little stronger than calling the bomber's hero's welcome "objectionable." Putting Libya back on the list of states that support terrorism would be a start. It was removed in 2006, while President Bush was in office. Secretary of State Condaleeza Rice explained that this was because of Libya's "continued commitment to its renunciation of terrorism." But in keeping with the spirit of this thread, I'm going to attribute it to President Bush being a lightweight.

We just had a downpour here in my little corner of Oldham Co. I'm going to write President Obama a letter and complain. After all, he's responsible of everything else, why not blame him for the weather?

Toad, I agree with you......To some extent, but this guy KILLED 270 people, and a LOT of them were American.

Now, there is evidence that this was a Terrorist TRADE for Oil.....TOTAL BS.

AND now....there is evidence that our Government KNEW it was coming, and did nothing to STOP it.....

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,545144,00.html

I will tell you this....if our LEFT-WING, pinko commie gubment knew.......someone in justice, who SHOULD have been dealing with this instead of SCREWING around with investigating the CIA should be FIRED.........

They are DESTROYING the very fabric of our country, and the LIBS don't get it.

The BEST thing that came out of bombing Libya was not going after him, but the "Accidental" bombing of the French and Chineese Embassies.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA.

The French for be TURDS about allowing our F-111 to fly through their airspace. They didnt.......costing us 15 hrs of additional fly time, and costing them an embassy.

The Chinese........well they were BOMBED accidentally for selling silkworm missiles to the Libyans illegally........OOPS.

Yea......REAGAN didn't care, could STARE down the BEST of them, and bomb the hell out of anyone in his way........The wall fell because the ruskies were SCARED crapless of him........

Maybe if Obama would wear a REAGAN mask......he could get stuff done.

How they missed him? He was forewarned by a telephone call from Malta's Prime Minister, Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici, that unauthorized aircraft were flying over Maltese airspace heading south towards Tripoli, Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi and his family rushed out of their residence in the Bab al Aziziya compound moments before the bombs dropped.
Oh, our planes were going over Malta's airspace because our aircraft were not permitted to fly over French, Italy, and Spain's airspace.
