Just got an e-mail informing me that my son's high school is under lockdown because they think a student brought a gun to school. Nice huh!

Back in the Day, I took a muzzle loader, black powder, and LEAD to class to show my friends early american firearms. THIS was during History in the 10th grade.

TIMES sure have CHANGED............also used to keep guns in the CAR for hunting........had a varmit gut hanging in a gun rack on my truck.......

    Later,

    Geo

We use to show teachers and principles our new hunting guns in our cars and trucks between classes. Heck alot of them were outdoorsmen to, and we all thought nothing about it what so ever. The county I grew up in back in the day if you didn't hunt and fish you would get bored real quick, heck that was all there was to do, lol.

We used to bring guns and knives to school all the time for show,to trade,or sell.Teachers did too.I've packed a shotgun on the schoolbus many times to go squirrel hunt at a friends farm in different parts of the county.
The difference was,we might have had a fistfight and shook hands afterward, but not try to shoot everybody because Mommy and Daddy said I couldn't poke another hole through my lips or tattoo my genitals.A good ol' hickory switch could cure alot of ills.

Forgot to update yesterday. The kid did bring a gun to school and the police found it and locked the kid up. The police say it was unloaded but I have yet to hear what type it was.

The also sent a note home informing us that one of the staff members there has a confirmed case of H1N1 flu.
