    Definition of the word "Govern"

    1. (verb) regulate, regularize, regularise, order, govern
bring into conformity with rules or principles or usage; impose regulations.

    2. (verb) govern
direct or strongly influence the behavior of.

    3. (verb) govern, rule
exercise authority over; as of nations.

I think some people in this country might have forgotten what the term govern means (aka - government). We call ourselves a free country...but with each law that passes we become less and less free...seat belt laws for instance, sure they save lives but on the flip side it's one more freedom that's lost. Whoever is for government run healthcare, my personal opinion is that you're a fool!

Not sure why I've posted this, I guess simply because I felt like it..."while I still can".

Yea....amen....and why can't we drive on the left hand side of the road if we want to? And we ought be free to drink and drive to. And why do we really need headlights on at night if we have great night vision? And we'd all agree no body should withhold access or control access to natural resources, so why do we have to pay for water, or pay for a fishing license?

Freedom comes with responsibilitites, and some poeple just forget the "R" word. Thats when the parental government has to step in and correct us errant kids. No offense guy, I really agree we do tend to be somewhat over regulated, but on the other hand, I'll seen the stupid acts of some of our fellow citizens and am quite frankly glad the government is willing to take care of these smucks and save me the pains and scraped knuckles incurred should I have to defend a sane way of life all by myself.
