Hey Andy I have never heard of five fingers on Nolin Lake.

I worked on a house around there for the past couple weeks and got to fish both the lake and the river. Had a great time and caught tons of largemouth out of the river as well as a couple nice ones in the four pound range. Also caught a 25lb 14oz catfish on a D&L jig, that was a fight.
I did want to mention that whoever the guy in the Hardees wrapped boat, seemed to be practicing for a tournament Monday before last (before labor day) fishing at five fingers in the river before you get to the lake- well that guy nearly drowned us when he passed my jonboat. I actually thought he was going to hit us. He was the only boat who passed us on the river that didnt idle pass.
Other than that, I had a ball on the river. The lake was tougher, but I didnt have any business on it in my boat anyway.

its way up in the river almost to Bacon Creek
Funny I grew up in the area and just recently heard it referred to as 5 fingers by some fisherman from Louisivlle. To all the locals its Cane Run.
