    Unexplained Mysteries of WWII

Grumpy, you seem to have pretty good knowledge of WWII. I wanted to ask you how did Roosevelt arrange a meeting with a Nazi agent in the Oval Office and what was discussed? Also what was Churchill's premonition and Mamie Eisenhower's prediction?

    Re: Unexplained Mysteries of WWII

I remember reading that Churchill had several ominous premonitions before and during the war, but I don't remember what any of them were. I don't remember anything about a Nazi spy in the Oval Office or Mamie predictions but I will tell you what they were, after I read the book. Thanks for the question and the tipoff about the book, I love reading those type books. Actually, right now I am reading WEIRD HISTORY 101, by John Richards Stephens and should be finished with it by the time Unexplained Mysteries of WWII gets here.

    Thanks,

Bug, the mention of Churchill reminded me of a story about him that happened before the war and before he was PM.

Churchill was known to imbibe the Spirits, and not the ghostly kind. One afternoon in Parlament he had obviously had too many for lunch and some Dame went up to him, shook her finger in his face and said rather loudly:

Sir Winston, you are drunk!! To which Churchill replied: Yes ma'am, and you are UGLY!! But the difference is, tomorrow I'll be sober!!

I'll have to ask my dad about that,he fought through France and Germany and stayed in Berlin after the surrender surrounded by Russians.Him and his 93 year old neighbor who was a belly gunner on a bomber are pretty versed on WWII politics.
