Has anyone been to meldhal dam recently, just wondering if the sauger have started hitting??

They are starting up, I fish up there also but havent been for a while, but I have a friend I fish with says they are starting to show up inside the wall. He did not mention if they were eaters or cigars give me a pm and if I here anything else I will give you a shout. Also try www.ohiogamefishing.com on the river reports and the southwest reports sometimes they will give a little info.

Fished today with about a dozen. 4 or 5 boats out. talked to one who fished the inside of the lock wall who said they had two limits with about 40 total fish caught

My friend was up last night throwing the long rod and had 10 hybrids hour before dark and he was using a launcher. There were some other people up there fishing on top of the wall in the corner throwing at gate 12 and was hitting the sauger they were fishing with plastic and live bait is what it looked like he said.
