Talking Thanks Elwood for an expertly guided trip

I know Elwood has already posted on our wonderful weekend excursion on the twin lakes but The prowlness of his guiding abilities is beyond anything I've ever encountered.

Not only will the heft and fight of this magnificent fish (DRUM) never leave my memory but the stench that this slimy creature left on my boat bag will most likely remind me forever of the fateful outing.

All thanks goes out to Elnut DRUMJAWS who so masterfully patterned the elusive drum that he actually (and this has to be a record) caught four drum on four consecutive casts. A hush and utter amazement fell as boaters from all over this bay area congregated to witness this once in a lifetime event... cheers went up as yes six drum were brought to the net under the softest hands to work a jig in front of the wily drum that we have ever seen.

I wipe a tear from my eye as I solute you once again... yes...the rancid smell persists on.

All kidding aside. I'd do it again. Thanks Elwood!

It is official, MIKE YOU ARE NOT RIGHT, I appreciate the comments and had a good time but in my "Expertly Guiding Opinion" NOT, the Drum was the only fish I could pattern and when you drive 225 miles one way to get to the twins, you have to have something tugging on the end of your line. I only wish the weather was better and had not dumped a massive cold front on us for the Bass would have been biting better. The only thing, in regards to fishing, that this trip did was put is 4 days closer to our 2 trips to Dale in December chasing "them ol Brownfish" with buggy whips in hand. Had a very good time and as always, great time and fellowship with you is always a bonus no matter what the fish do. Elnutdrumjaws, ie former Elnutsmalljaws, but soon to be Elnutsmalljaws again in about 5 more weeks.

These comments are exactly why i come on this board, two men sharing stories of doing something that we all love to do, and the fellowship that follows. If the whole world could just get along and share laughs like the guys on this board, when we are on the lake, this world would be a much better place for us all!

I have not met personally any of you on the Board except Elwood and Cliff, but I hope during the Dale trip I can meet some of you down there. But, I can say through the past couple of years, postings of information, light-heart kidding, good stories of the members trying to help out a fellow fisherman has been fantastic. Thanks for all the help.

Easy now, I have ended up in the hospital during a lot of the fishing river season and the only other time I missed it, I do recall was when it snowed about 6 inches and I could not get my boat out around the house. I am ready willing and able now so let me know Doug where and when. It might just be YOUR fault that I end up in the hopspital as much as I do as a matter of fact. YES, it is ALL DOUG'S FAULT.

Elnutdrumjaws it is worse than you think after seeing you on the lake I caught a 3, 5 and a 10lb drum in three consecutive cast. I was throwing a silver buddy and my fishing partner wanted to know if I had any more of those. I thought he was begging for one to fish with however if it was my only one he was going to cut it off and throw it away. Now I know it was your vault (if your brown bass catching ability would just wear off on me).

It was great seeing you, 3sons, Embry and Geofisher down there we came home Friday the fishing improved a little each day but it was tough sledding but we had a great time.
