    Texas, YES KANAS no way.

I'll give it to the sportscasters that Texas is one of the top 2 teams, but Kansas it NOT. I'd put Syracuse ahead of them. I watched both teams play on Saturday. Didn't see anything special at all about Kansas. 2 players. Aldrich plays to the level of his competition.
TEXAS, on the other hand, has got some players......

Texas sure doesn't get conservative with the lead that's for sure. It's good when you hit those shots with 20 left on the shot clock, but man if you go cold the other team could make up a large deficit quick. I like this approach better than the "prevent offense" though.

Haven't got to watch enough ball yet and probably won't. Probably tune into a couple of Pitt games if there's a possiblity of a Bill Raftery "send it in JErome" replay from the 80's.

Kansas had somewhat of an off day. Thye are very very good but I have to agree there are some other awesome teams to keep an eye on. I've heard several top people say they think Syracuse could be as a good a team as there is out there. Texas looked tough, watched it and they man handled the Tar Heels. That Pittman down low, there is NOBODY in the country that can stop him, he is a beast. At 6'10'' and 290 and meaner than junkyard dog he is ready to knock people down at the next level now easily.

Kansas has more talent than Texas and is better coached. If Barnes brough in that kind of talent at a basketball school and failed in the tourney each year, he would have been run out of town. He is allowed to underachieve at Texas though. Bill Self on the other hand has already gotten a banner, and very well could hang another one this season. He has an experienced team and added Xavier Henry, who is probably the second best freshman in the country. If I was a UK fan, I would much rather face Texas in the round of 16 than I would Kansas.

Texas reminds me a lot of Tennessee under Bruce Pearl, million dollar talent but ten cent brains!

Wow speaking of Tenn, did you see USC completely run them out of the gym? Ouch that was nasty, they thumped'em hard. I never thought Tenn was top ten, they are top 25 at best. Tim I normally agree with you and I think Texas for the most part are usually a great regular season team and stink in the tourney. However this year may be different, they are way more balanced this year and again Dexter Pittman is just a MAN. Sure all he does is dunk I would to if I had those skills around the basket.
Sissy Samuels needs to go play with him for awhile and learn how to finish around the cup.
