    Bitter cold

Every weather source I've seen are calling for the next 14 days to be down right brutal. Highs in the day of mid and some upper 20's with low's at night in the low teens with some single didgits possible in outlining areas.

If that holds true for that long a period of time some of the smaller lakes will get substanial ice on them especially around the edges and in the creeks. Get ready fellars it's fixin to turn winter with a vengeance, ouch.

National Weather Service predicts "normal to somewhat colder than normal" temps for this winter. Belski says "colder than normal to much colder than normal." I'm going with Belski.

Yea ole Belski gets it right more than being wrong that's for sure. I'd say so far he's been pretty darn close. We haven't had a normal high temp here in several weeks here except for a day or two.

Winter is winter...I don't care all that much for it to begin with, I expect a few "dold days". But when they're tellin' me we're not going to see temperatures above 32 degree's for any longer than 4 days in a row...well then, winter is....down right ridiculous! And now they're talkin' for a couple of weeks straight of high's below freezing? Good lord man!! I bet our Canadian friend Gills is wondering what all the fuss is about, lol...

On his private jet flying to Florida to take a 3 month cruise. Will stop in Africa to save the Wild Donkeys and to crush the Elephants (hehe). Then off to Copenhagen to take pics of where the Global Warming Summit was.
Prolly stop in the United Kingdon to teach the researchers at the Climate Research Unit how to use the innanet (since they allowed hackers to expose the truth) that he created and then...whew...he will be tired....Get on his private jet to fly home. Then it's time to get in his parade of limo's and canvas the country side telling us how bad we are for not being green like him and cutting back on using fuel.
Or something like that? I could be wrong.

Al is probably out receiving another Nobel prize for global warming. Two weeks ago we had a blizzard that knocked out power, phone, internet, and water in over 65,000 homes, mine included. We had 12 inches of wet snow over ice that wreaked havoc on everything. It uprooted and broke trees that blocked roads, caused lots of wrecks, and broke power lines. Our utilities were off for 4 days, when the water came back on it was polluted, rust colored, and stained everything it touched. All the trees in my neighborhood look like a hurricane struck them.

We have power company workers here from several states working 16-hour days and the power is still off in about 10,000 homes. A few nights ago I saw a crew from KY working on power lines about 11:00 p.m. I took the time to roll down the car window and say "thanks" as I drove by. They were so tired and cold and acted like they were glad to hear somebody speak a word of appreciation.

We were told that FEMA was coming to help us but nobody has seen them or knows what they are doing.

They say we have 3-4 more days of "light" snow moving in. That's what they said the last time. High temp tomorrow is supposed to be 23. So much for global warming.

Where is Al Gore? Well I know he isnt here cuz for several days after CHristmas we did have "bitter" cold weather like -30Celsius which = -20F for several days and that hurts the old body let me tell you. But you get use to it. Now old Al and Bill Clinton use to be up here all the time talking to our government about global warming. But they left when it got frigid cold. lol

Now today is -5 Celsuis which = 25 F which is really nice and balmy. I just got back in and found it a nice break from the cold.

    Re: Bitter cold

I went bowhunting this morning and managed to stay in the woods for an hour and a half. I was freezing even with all my cold weather gear and had to get back to the Jeep and warm up. Jeez its cold. It is almost noon and the thermometer on my back deck reads 21 degrees.
