i was listening tto some AM talk radio this afternoon and they were talking about how Lexington mayor Newberry (i think its newberry) was contacted by FEMA for help by sending just 10 firemen to Haiti and that he refused to send any. they also said Lexington was the only city around out of i think 60 other cities not to send support. im from Versailles but live in Georgetown and would be embaressed to call either my home if given the chance to help and our elected official said we couldnt spare 10 men/women. this is the information i gathered with what little i got to listen to. also i think FEMA would pretty much cover the cost to send these brave men and women. i hope ive not forgot anything and the fella i was listening to is a reliable source cause ive not listened to these talk stations much.
