It is sad that even though facts show that criminals never obey the law so gun bans only harm law abiding citizens. Crime goes up when guns are banned just like the clip showed.

Isn't it strange that the UN folks that are trying to take the guns away to make a more secure environment, are working in a building in New York City? Why? Because the US, with all its guns, it still the safest place for a world wide conference to be conducted in a secure environment. Maybe the UN is trying to control the world's hand guns so they can feel safe enough to go home some day.

As a matter of national defense and crime reduction, I think the US government should pass a law requiring at least one gun to be in each household for defensive purposes. Just like the airbags in our cars, and the smoke alarms in our houses. Each child should recieve firearms training as soon as they reach the age of 10, in our schools, just like they learn to drive a car, or work with wood, or learn to sew. Would we as a nation not be more secure from invasion if the bad guys all knew that when they hit our shores, even if the military is not there, the citizens will be.

Instead of taxing hand guns and rifles owned by citizens, we ought give a tax break to anyone who buys one to make America stronger. Owners of double barrelled shot guns out get a tax rebate.
