UK will be there, supposing they don't go down this weekend. The last remaining unbeaten team in the land...but only one such team in a given year during the past decade has won the NCAA championship. Given the persona this young group is taking on, I can't help but wonder if a loss at this point in the season would be beneficial in the long run... May teach them the importance of playing 40 minutes before March.

Yep they will be your new number one barring a loss this Saturday.

Kansas State is a good team this year, this wasn't a fluke, they are a solid ball club. Man does that coach get animated or what?? That dude is intense, I love it.

goosecreek is right Kentucky needs a loss. I know Cat fans don't want to see it, but going into March and the Big Dance without an L is a death sentence in the tournament.

Kansas St is a great team. If they loose they loose if they don't they don't....Let's take it one game at a time. Saturday, IMHO, will be Wall and Cousins greatest test yet. We thought UCONN was it, but we got thier big man in foul trouble early and with not many games into the season noone really knew anything about the other. That being said...

Arkansas dang near beat Texas. Arkansas's Forten (?) is a great point guard. If allowed to drive, Cousins will be on the bench early with foul trouble(depending on the refs). Wall, Bledsoe, and Miller will have to adjust to him early in the game before he gets his game going. On the flip side if the 3's don't fall for Arkansas UK will play volleyball on the inside.

Can't wait...But for now we are the "Undefeated"....

i think they need a loss and maybe they will realize before its to late that they can be beat. i really enjoy this team, but at the same time i get so frustrated that they get a good lead and then slack off. they should know by now that these teams arent going to lay down and take a butt whoopin just cause they are down by 15. their luck is going to run out and i hope it happens before March. sure they are 18-0, but i think being ranked 2nd is good enough right now, even if they do win Sat. GO BIG BLUE and go for the full 40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Other than Texas has Arkansas really played anyone? Playing in Lexington is gonna be bad news for Pelfrey and the boys..Lose by 10. I bet Coach Cal has these boys playing hard as hell not to lose the big lead they usually get....that has to get fixed.

It really hurts UK that the SEC is so weak. I don't mean to start a bashing deal here but seriously, other than UK this year who in that conference is really that good. Should be cake walk city for Kentucky the rest of the way. Sec has never been known as a basketball conference but I think this year they are exceptionally down.

Put UK in the Big East or Big 12, Big 10, or ACC this year, would they be undefeated right now???????????????????????????????? I'm just axing, try to keep the flaming at a minimum please, lol.

MHAll,no arguement here, just want to point out that the SEC has 4 teams in the Top 25 and Vanderbilt is next in line to go into the Top 25.

    #2 Kentucky
    #8 Tennessee
    #22 Ole Miss
    #23 Miss State

Florida is not a bad team either, they are missing an inside presence, but have signature wins over Top 25 Mich St,Florida St,and NC State

Even one of the worst teams in the SEC Georgia is no cakewalk, they have beat Ga Tech,Illinois, and played a couple Big East teams to single digit losses.
The SEC is a little better than most are giving credit,a couple teams got off to a slow start, but are on fire now.

The Vols did surprise me with that win over Kansas. Don't know how much of that was emotion after half the team went to the Pokey, but a heck of a win none the less. I think Ky will kill them though when they play. Kentucky will thrash Arkansas unless Rotney Clark goes nuts from three.

Forgot to mention UK has beat 2 Big East teams,1 ACC team, and 1 Big Ten team so all the if's in the world don't fly,the SEC is 8-7 vs the Big East this year and I don't have the records off the top of my head ,but the SEC has a winning record against the ACC as well,I think the Big 12 has a lead this year but they beat teams like LSU and Arkansas at the bottom.
    18-0 is 18-0 don't downplay it.

Whose the beadlock hair wearing little point guard they got? He and Wall should be fun to watch cause one of them will have to stop because of cramps before the game is over huh?

Check any and all posts past and present, I have not dismissed for a second what an awesome college ball club Ky is this year. I'm not blinded by hate like some I see basketball for what it is and I'm certainly no expert but to talk the Cats season down this year would be mindless and quite frankly just stupid.

Wall is the bomb. Not only is the kid off the chart good but his court savy and player demenour is way past his young age. He will do great at the next level.
Cousins needs to find a good Dentist when he lands on his first NBA team, because somebody is gonna knock his teeth down his throat. I got news for Big Cuz, there are some guys in that league that will stomp an Industrial sized Mudhole in his a$$ and walk it dry. He'll catch on pretty quick.

Level of competition night in and night out for the Big East and the Sec are not comparable this year, NO way, check the stats.
