I know these have been out for a while but I've never tried them. Has anybody tried these and found that they have done better on a c-rig with them. I'm more than a little skeptical of that whole magnetic field thing, thanks...

I use them on a C-rig just for the noise. They are made of tungsten, so it makes them louder -- especially when they bump rocks, along with the clacker or weight.
I use the smaller one mostly at night when fishing a T-rigged plastic to add a little noise.
I have had success with both rigs while using the Force Bead.
First I'll say it to get it out of the way...I'm cheap!! Ok with that said I tried them just so I could see if they are worth it. What hurt my feelings was when I would lose a rig. .75 for the force bead, $1 to $3 on a tungston weight, and the nice gammy hook for around .75. plus the plastic. (cost on the tackle varies) It felt like I was wasting my money.
I'll stick to lead and glass beads for c-rigs...JMHO.
Right there with ya, but use the steel weights instead. They may be bulkier, but I like that, because it seems to roll over the rocks rather than wedge into them. Plus, the glass tapping on the steel is pretty loud.First I'll say it to get it out of the way...I'm cheap!! Ok with that said I tried them just so I could see if they are worth it. Keep the ol ball and chain simple and cheap. Lead and Glass work just fine.
I'm not much on C-Rig fishing so I won't consider buying Tungsten beads. However, I bit the bullet last year and started using Tungsten slips for texas rigging. Using Tungsten with braid will blow your mind if you've not tried it. The Tungsten combined with braid gives you some AMAZING feel.
i will go in the crafts section in wal-mart and by a big bag of glass beeds and the metal beeds. i like the little metal beeds they make some good noise and a different noise people dont use metal beeds that much. and the glass beads are a given they always make the noise you need. and i like to use a bead when i am using a texas rig to when the water is merky or stained and at night. but i have found out that at night if the water is clear dont use a beed you will get more bites and catch more fish.
Thanks for the help fellas, us cheap guys have to stick together, lol. I was at DSG's the other day and started walking to the counter with a $15 swimbait in my hand when my cheapo alarm went off in my head. It was a great looking swimbait, and I did have a $10 gift certificate, but I still couldn't make myself spend that much for something I'd lose in the first hour anyway. I think that's one reason I like fishing plastics, lol.
