Really Lake Trout? I thought only Rainbows, Browns and some Cutthroat trout were down this way. I'm just asking....

I've always known trout were in Dale, but I didn't realized anyone fished for them specifically. I've always been under the impression that there are trout in Dale but you'll luck into one every once in a great while when using live bait. But it looks like you have targeted trout and succeeded. Thanks for taking the time to post all of these pictures...I enjoyed looking at them.

That being said, I've heard there are true lake trout in Dale Hollow, but maybe those people were mistaken.

I never caught a trout, in my life. and never really wanted to. can't remember who or where, but do remember hearing somewhere. that dale hollow had lake trout in it. may be true, may not. i was just repeating what i've heard. down life's highway.

Hey Guys,thanks for all the kind words.There has not been any Lakers in DHL since 1994.there was a fish kill due to the corps miss management of the lake levels and their effects on oxygen levels.Fish that should have been 70 to a 100 feet deep in July were being grabbed off the surface with landing nets.Thanks to the TWRA they finally replaced the Lakers with Browns about five years ago.Both German and Seeforellan. http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...browntrout.jpg These should one day top the 40lb mark.If anyone has any questions about Dale Hollow Trout,Walleyes http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/r...lyaug09023.jpg Trolling for trophy smallies or muskies email me thru my web site.....Dave
