Heard of Riggs Lake in Louisville

Anyone heard of Riggs Lake in Louisville. It is locate off of Taylorsville Rd, Northwest of I-265 (Gene Snyder). Can one fish there?

good question i have seen it and was wondering the same thing if you can fish it.

That lake/land use to belong to my wife's family. We would have her family reunions there every year. Since her Great Uncle passed away which is who owned the land, I believe they sold it to the church. Not sure if they allow anyone to fish it. I've fished it a few times but it was in the middle of the summer and never had much luck.

Pond doesn't have many fish left in it. From the sneakers and summer turnover, pond is about wiped out, that's the word through the vine.

Was a decent catfish paylake back in the day though.

You know.......... when there isn't suppose to be any fishing alllowed and guys sneak in early, late in the day or at night and catch and keep every fish they can get. I can tell you some stories of backyard ponds getting almost wiped clean by stuff like this, small ponds and bodies of water can't stand too much of that before they are empty.

I spent many an all nighter there when I was a kid. At night you could hear the lions roaring over at Tuckers lake, good memories.

Thanks for answer on sneakers. I had some ponds that I was fishing for the past several years near where I live; the guys are not exactly sneakers, but they have their buckets and keep everything they catch. It use to be a good pond to fool around and catch fish; rarely a night I didn't catch something. Now its more rare that I catch anything.

i cant lie i have done some pond sneaking in my younger days. but we never kept anything we cought everything went back. i tell you what you have to be careful and on your toes when pond sneaking becouse people will shoot at you i had one of the biggest bass on one night and i was fighting that fish it was jumping going crazy then i herd hay you and then boom boom boom. all i know is i lost the fish my pole and my little tackle box i droped it all and was gone man i was so scared........... i think i even lost a load in my pants

LOL, I have done some pond sneaking back in the day myself. Travel light, wear camo, and act like a Ninja. We never kept the fish and we always respected the property by never hurting anything or leaving trash. I can't run as fast as I use to, lol.
