    BFL co-angler helping with gas

Im going to be a non-boater this year. Im really looking forward to it. Its going to be a good learning experience for me. I was wondering what ammount is appropriate (I know it will vary) to offer for gas to the boater. Just making sure I budget the extra money.

Also, Im good on everything but crankbaits tackel wise, which ones and depths would you think I should have with me for the mountain division? I was figuring getting some fat free shads in deep to medium (hopefully two of each will do), have plenty of square bills.

Plus- how do I go about preparing for fishing lakes Ive never fished as a non-boater? The only lake Ive fished on the schedule is Laurel.
