    H/Bird vs. Lowrance law suit

    Johnson fishing/ H-Bird has filed a law suit against Navico/ Lowrance over patent rights to the side scan technoligy.
    The only winner in this will be the Lawyers IMHO.

    I hope HB looses the suit. IMO they've priced the technology too high, and some competition is what we need to bring the price of side scan down.

    I agree with the pricing issues. I think the consumer wins when theres comptetion. ..

    So........just because they are priced TOO high, it is OK for others to copy or STEAL their technology to make it cheaper.

    If Hummingbird and Johnson Controls have a legitimate case, I hope they put the others OUT OF BUSINESS.......

    Sorry, but PATENT laws exist for a reason.

    Why be innovative if you can't reap the rewards, at least for a while. That's like saying let someone else clear the field, plow and disc the field, fertilize the field, and plant the field and then you head on over take half the crop and cash in. Not many farmers going to agree to that deal.
