    Elnut

Not to beat a dead horse, but I think I am with many anglers here when I say Elnut has been a true inspiration. I don't post on here much, but I read every day. The guy is my personal hero and has helped me realize what is important in life, which is extremely hard to focus on when we are caught up in a new season. Not to sound too corny, but I was thinking about some decals for the boat in honor of him. I would like to be reminded, while I am on the boat, of what is truly important, and not to focus on ego and other petty things... but most of all, I want him to know all the people that look up to him, and support him. He has become a national hero, and even more of one here in Kentucky.

    Anyone interested in this?

    Re: Elnut

First of all, if Elwood reads this, I have a feeling he will be embarrassed because he really doesn't seek this kind of attention. But, if I were to pick something to put on my boat to describe Elwood, I would have a problem picking one because there are so many to pick from. From the time spent with Elwood, there are a few things I do know. One is loves fishing more than anyone human on earth. There are no words to describe his love to fish. If you could see the fire in his eyes when he looses one of those big smallmouth, you know what I mean. Second, he is a born teacher. He enjoys teaching others, and from the posts in the past, you can see this too. Thirdly, he is the most truthful guy I have ever known. He has a sharpness as to what is right and wrong in life, and he is not afraid to express his opinion, which I greatly respect. When he says something, you can take it to the bank. And lastly, if you ever get to know him, he will kill you with his jokes and kidding. I am still suffering from that. And I will also say, he has health problems that puts extreme stress on him daily, and he still tries to fish, be a husband and father and bring joy to others. I am just thankful I know him.
