A buddy of mine was telling me that he thought there was a warm water discharge into Herrington, does anybody know for sure? I've got a friend that's getting ready to deploy that would like to go fishing there before he leaves. Thanks, Ted
Yes at the cove to the left side of the dam.
This time of year you can run a crankbait through that cove and catch 6 or seven dead minnows on your treble hooks on each cast. What was said above is right, but it is not always on. If you time it right, you will see it running. If not, it may be hard to find its location.
Either way I know the water is up right now but if you go when it's down, watch out for the rock point on the right as you enter -- it comes way out. I have also heard it likes to chew up props and chip skeg plates.![]()
I'd just like to bump this back to the top and see if anybody is doing any good in this area this time of year? Thinking about hitting it with my little boy in the morning. I'll report back if we do any good.
Thanks, Ted
