Tubby to Auburn?

He'd be crazy to leave Minn., they love him there. Auburn is a football school and will never have a good basketball program, unless Charles Barkley comes back, lol.

I think the honeymoon is over this year in Minnesota as well.

I don't think that there would be very compelling reasons for him to go to Auburn though.

I always thought Louisville would go after him when Pitino hangs it up.

Lost me there Michael. Why is the honeymoon over, this is one of their highest Tourney seeds in many years. I fish at a pond in Ballardsville the people that own it are from Minnesota originally an still have family there. They are huge basketball fans to and according to them The Tubster is all that and a bag of chips in The Gophers fans eyes right now. There are no where near the expectations there in Hoops like it is around here.

Next Louisville coach will be Ralph Willard, the writing is so on the wall. Hence his title.................Associate Coach.

They made that late run to get into the tourney, but before that there were rumblings and grumblings and a few no-so-flattering articles about the team's performance.

Outside of my immediate family, all of my relatives live in Minnesota. Of course, they don't really care that much about basketball up there either.

I hear ya, they would be hard pressed to find a better coach than the Tubster. Not alot of five start kids lining up to go bounce a ball there and it won't happen with or without Tubby.

Perhaps the should hire Coach Cal! He has something in common with another Kentuckian, Clem Haskins, both have vacated Final Fours!

Exactly who should Minn. hire and why would a good coach want to go there? Honeymoon is over, despite the fact that it has been how long since the Gophers sniffed deep in the tourney.

Tubby is Tubby, good guy, good fundamental coach, not a great recruiter, stubbon as heck. Can't find a way to finish big games. He would have to be crazy to leave Minn. where basketball expectations are not that high.

So Auburn would be a perfect fit. Low expectations and they want to pay him more money! Outside of Kentucky, no school in the SEC cares about basketball....it seems like a good fit to me.
