Benson creek, Ky river

Fished 8am-2pm. temp 53..Caught a few small crappie and one keeper. I think it's still a little early yet......need a good warm rain. But nice to get out of the house for a while!

Fished a different creek off the river the last two days. Lots of bass and shad up in the creek. Water anywhere from 53 to 60 degrees depending on the time of day and how far up in the creek you went. Caught 7-8 bass for a half day. Biggest 16 inches and had 2-3 smallies a day. Water very clear in the creeks so I did best with very natural color small plastics. Great to be out and great to set some hooks! Go Cats -you're awesome!
