Measures being taken to control and maybe limit tournaments on some of our lakes are reasonable if that much pressure is being put on smaller lakes such as Grayson.

Who will be fishing Grayson Saturday?
It should be busy and fun hopefully.
The Lawerance County bass club takes off at 7. The Greenbo bass club open tournament starts at 8 and the Renegade I am fishing goes 9-4. We will be the last ones out but at least we will have an hour to fish after most are gone. It should take around 4 keepers to win this time of year but with the cold front and cold night Thursday and the fishing pressure who knows.
Oh yeah the lake is down 7feet so it should fish smaller than normal.

I dont see any thing wrong with limiting tournaments on smaller lakes. But I dont think the tournaments on Grayson make that big of an impact. The reason there are so many tournaments on Grayson this weekend is that it is best early in the season. I would be this will be the busiest weekend of the year. Many weekends there wont even be tournaments except for the little local saturday evening tournaments.
I read somewhere that there is a 4th tournament going on Saturday as well. I think your right this will be the biggest weekend there. But there still probably won't be 80 boats on the lake. Thats like a normal Saturday there in the summer just not all fishing boats like this weekend. I had planned on fishing this weekend but my boat is in the shop for a mysterious lean sneeze.
the lawrence county bass club took 13.3,4? to win with three fish. dandy sack with a 51/2 lb kicker and 2 other nice fish. 7 something got second with 2 fish one which weighed 6.22lbs. third was one fish but a nice 5lb. something. half the field i would say weighed a fish. I WAS NOT ONE OF THOSE HALVES LOL! we caught fish and had a fun day though. that was a heck of a bag for three fish and a heck of a nice big bass for the tourney at 6.22. congrats to the winners!
Out of couriosity did they say what they were fising with and where they caught them?
I fished the renegade and had 1 keeper and we had several 14in+ fish. We were throwing crankbaits but bait selection is overatted this time of year. We probably could have thrown jigs and caught some as well and maybe spinnerbaits. When the fish are biting its more about the right place at the right time. I did talk to the guys who did well in the renegade either 1st or 2nd with over 10lbs and they said they used several baits to catch keepers. Lots of things are working now on Grayson where is more important than what your using.\
I also had a partner win the pondhoppers I could fish this time and he caught 2 keepers on crankbaits as well. All I can say for sure is some fish are in the creeks now but not saying thats the only way to catch them.
Well when people say creeks in reference to Grayson I am assuming all the way up the lake into the river? That and Past the beach there in Bruin. However some people consider big and little gimlet as creeks to. Hard to nail down what people are talking about...
i got no information from the winners. sorry. all i know is there was some goooood fish weighed in.there were lots of boats in the creeks so we fished the main lake and up river some. we had action and caught fish but no keeps. we used cranks, spinners, and different texas rigged items.
By creeks I mean Greenbriar, Clifty, Bruin, Both Gimlet creeks, twin bays, and Deer creek. I would consider anything smaller a cove which should also be producing somewhat. But I would bet some fish are still on the mainlake but I do better in the creeks now.
