If you don't mind the drive we hammered them on newton in Illinois Friday. It's a warm water lake and it was actually getting boring catching so many. We saw them hammering Shad in the discharge. Tossed in a trap and they hit one after another.

Has anyone heard of any luck in the white/hybrid department? I plan to fish tribs of the KY river around Lexington, Taylorsville, and Herrington lakes. Up lake temps and times would greatly be appreciated. I think it's just a bit soon but the rain should be triggering some spawning. I've always went by the Dogwoods but this year seems different.

I think it might be another week before they really get going.
I was on the Salt River above T-ville on Saturday and they weren"t running up there yet.
Thanks guys...I received a report from a friend who said it was still pretty muddy and he hadn't hit anything...so I'll wait another week. Going to Green River for some Crappie on Thursday. It's good to be back on the water!
Nothing on the Salt River(T-ville) Weds. Water low and gin clear.
Thanks for the heads up. I had some friends fish the mouth of a tributary of the Kentucky last night with no White/hybrid luck. Caught 1-2 Crappie. I will definitely post when I have some success.
Dix river
They are having luck on the Dix?
