Took a guide striper fishing Sunday and he said they were catching a few spots and that was it. He hadn't caught a smallie all year and usually he catches two or three a day striper fishing. Water temp was about 45 with the warmest water being 47.

Got four days off starting Wednesday thought about going to cumberland to mess around. Is the brownies or greenies turned on yet. If so were a good starting point have not been down there since last year in the summer. Putting in at Jamestown. Thanks for any info.

Look for colored water, tie on a 300 bandit, crank till your arm feels like its gonna fall off and hang on! You wont look long i bet!
The bite is good on the south end of the lake as the water is warmer there, the Jamestown area has cooler water but should began to heat up with this warmer weather this week. Do like Don said. And you should have a great time. We had around 14 + lbs last Fri and around 10 Sat, this past weekend all green fish, we fished out of Burnside. It is fixing to get hot on Cland.
