Fearful and angry Latinos might shun Census

I read the following from insightbb.com:

"Latinos are the biggest minority in the United States but they could jeopardize a chance to flex their newfound political muscle as millions of them dodge a nationwide census.

Many of the millions of illegal Hispanic immigrants fear that filling in the 10-question census forms could increase their risk of deportation. Others are frustrated with President Barack Obama's slow start on immigration reforms.

A poll by the Pew Research Center showed that one-third of Hispanics have not even heard of the 2010 Census, a $14 billion effort to map the nation's population."

Now riddle me this batman....if the news media has some of these numbers figured out and knows about it, and obviously the government knows about it, then why the heck doesn't something more get done to deal with these unlawful abiding people? In my opinion, this country needs to be run more like a business. Business sets the rules and if workers don't play by the rules they get booted. The same should happen in this case...if any Latino, Asian or whoever else living over here doesn't want to fill out the census, they should leave on their own free will or be escorted out the door. They can make it easy on themselves or make it hard on themselves, either way.

It sounds good in theory anyway.

It sure does sound good in theory, but it's so much easier said than done. And it sure seems to me that politicians only talk about this during campaigns; once elected, nobody does a thing about it.

No, but they consume national resources, like health care at free clinics, and use the roads, and drive requirements for law enforcement, and housing.

If the latinos that are here illegally decide not to fill in the Census, its just one more proof they are not contributing citizens. Census = Constitution of the US. PERIOD. If they want to get legal, and play by the rules including paying taxes like the rest of us, then they are welcome to be my fellow country man. If they want to be here and just take advantage of the benefits without shouldering their part of the American citizens burden, including taxes, and military service, then I say ship them back summarily.

Better yet, give them a free gun, ship them to Afganishtan, and if they serve for 2 years supporting the US security mission there, then they can come back and file for citizenship. Our native born American boys are going to serve their country, some coming back worse for the wear. It's the cost of freedom and security that citizens willingly accept.

So MR Latrinos out there, either shoulder your burden as a citizen or get out and stop your whinning. You have not even earned the right to whine!

Yep your right they are not allowed but their families and friends would be pissed at someone who singles them out and some of those folks are legal and do vote.
