I've pulled Stretch 25's with some luck, trolling 3-4 mph, with lines up to 70-100 feet back with some luck. Instead of the Bomber 26's, I run Long A Bombers in the black/silver color. The Long A's I run 2 ways. With no weight at all, and about 50-70 feet back from the boat, or with a leader, barrel swivel, and 1 to 1 1/2 oz weight run back 50-70 feet from the boat to get more depth.

Want to have some killer fun? Long A Bomber 15 feet behind a planer board, no weight, run it 40-50 feet back from boat, and at night run the board 10-15 feet off the banks at a slow electric trolling motor speed of say 1-2 mph. Especially this time of year. You can also run a second board, with a Cordell Redfin about 30 feet behind the board, and set ups so the Redfin rig is running 5-8 feet off the bank, and the Long A rig is running 8-15 feet off the bank and leading the Redfin rig.

When the Stripers are up hitting the banks this time of year and in the near future, its a fun alternative to casting the banks. And for even more visual effect, put a small chemlight on each planer board! Helps see the boards easier, so you can run tighter to the banks. And when a Striper hits, watching the board and ight bounce down the bank is a real adrenalin rush.

And while doing that, run a couple Manns Stretch 25's of the rear of the boat 40-50 feet back with no weight.
