Heading to Boonesborough State Park with the family and in-laws for some picnic and fishing fun. The plan is to take turns with the kids out in the boat(8 kids, ages 5 to 15). Would really appreciate some advice on what to fish for in that area to keep it fun for the kids. First time on the river. Thanks
Bring cane poles and wax worms. Go for bluegill, keeps the young ones attention when they keep catching fish. Fish under overhanging trees and around any stickups that might provide relief from the current.
