    Exclamation Upcoming Barkley Trip 4/15-18

Ok fellas, any help or info here would be greatly appriciated! Heres the deal, I have been trying for over 5 years to get my father to make a trip to Barkley with me and after tons of convincing and my mother i think threatening to toss him out for that week, he has said he will go. I have fished the lake many times and have some of my biggest bags from Barkley, my fear is Im gonna get down there and miss some piece of the puzzle and not have a good trip. We will be going out of Eddy Creek, so i plan on fishing from there south to Donaldson and heading over to the LBL side and hitting some of the bushes.

If anyone at all has any info they would care to trade I will give full reports as well as some of my spots in return. Would love to see the ole man put a nice 15+lb sack in the boat, and i wouldnt care if I got a bite!

If you want to post here or PM me that would be fine as well!

Thanks for everyones help and info in advance!

The most consistent action I have had for big fish is in Fulton bay. It is not a long ride from where you are putting in at. I have also caught big fish from Dryden and Mcnabb depending on the pattern. There are some nice secondaries in those bays and have pulled 20lb stringers from them. If you go north from Eddy creek up to Carmack bay I have caught loads of fish from there. There is a lot of brush in there as well. Fulton is loaded with brush also just not as much deeper water. I have found that if you are catching bunches of short fish find an area with deeper water close by and you should find the bigger fish. That is what works for me. I usually am pitching some sort of jig combo or spinnerbaits around the brush. That is a great time to be down there , I might take a trip around then myself. Good luck

i have caught a lot of nice fish in the bays heading out of eddie creek on the right. the channel is on the side and sometimes the fishing is good in there. dryden and mcnabb are solid creeks as well. ive also had a lot of luck in clay and knob. ive been fishing down there many trips this time of year. good luck.
