Fished Friday and Saturday, fishing shallow cover. partner and I both limmited out in 2 hours on Friday and we were heading back before noon Saturday. all but 5 were blacks and in the 13 to 15 inch fish. Had some roaming hybrids swimming in and stripping line and snapping hooks, we did boat one that tipped the scales at 5.8, we landing him on a zebco UL3 classic with 4lb test on it. we chased him around with the trolling motor for 20 minutes. Not a lake record, but for us on a 7 foot UL rod and light line it was a reord for us. If you want to wrestle with 6 and 7 pounders and every so often a 10 to 12 head over to the narrows wake barrier with some live shad and heavey duty hooks and scope them out with your electronics float on the school and hold your rods tight, we were hitting them at about 10 to 20 feet of water if you put any rods on holders set them with a circle hook and loosen your drag to advoid busted rods and have some fun.
