Mariner Super Mag Beeper Going Off

Have a 225 Super Mag and beeper going off (continuous beep). Any ideas what could be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Check your inboard oil resevoir. My merc efi 200 had a intermitten beep that drove me nuts. Until I figured out that my resevoir on the engine was low. If it's constant your engine might be overheating. Never the less. Check the oil then take it to be serviced if that's not the case.

It sounds like to me you need to replace the water pump,your motor is overheating.

I would take it to have service or diagnostics ran. My boat had an intermittent beep and then it would go away, Then it would come back as a steady beep, then intermittent. Long story shorter, I spoke to Ralph Stokley at Stokley's Marine and he said that there are numerous things that can set off your waring buzzer. Mine was a trim solenoid that went bad. After I replaced one, things were good for a while the other was weak and same problem. once replaced, no more beeps. (Always replace these in pairs)
I wouldn't jump to the worst conclusions right off, but I would get it Diagnosed to find out exactly whats going on.
