Lake Barkley or Lake St clair?

Thinking of changing our yearly trip from Lake Barkley to St. clair this May. Flowers are already flooded so this they are disappearing to soon. And one will have to time the bush bite just perfect because they won't stay around long. Thinking that St. clair will be less pressure as well. We Usually go in June when season opens but if Ky will be ify, Go during the C & R season in May To LSC. What is your opinion?

You can't beat LSC mid May to Early June. Has to be one of best SM lakes in the USA. I'm headed there May 20th. I have had 100 SM days that time of year. Hopefully sore arms and raw thumbs are in order this year.

As far as Barkely I can't offer any advice. Never been there.

Thanks for the reply. I apreciate it it is a hard decission. Love both lakes. Complete opposite styles of fishing.
