It is a job requirement for UK coaches to all have at least one DUI while in Lexington, I'm just asking.
Rod Strickland was arrested the other night for running a red light and almost T-boning a car. When pulled over he smelled like Billy G and refused a breathalizer. Of course he got his go straight to jail free card.
Now before you UK boys start jumping my arse I just asked a question.
You gotta admit there has been some serious Otis Campbells on that team for coaches.
Hell Eddie Sutton had so many Dui's they lost count, lol.

I heard that this and busted out laughing....literally!...What an IDIOT!....
590 AM reported he had 3 priors...last on in 1998 where he got 1 yr probation and 30 hrs community service.
I think I'll start a VIP DD driver service.....
Billy, no kiddin brother you may be on to something with this. Offer your services to all the coaching staff each weekend. They could all go out on the town, get hammered, and you could drive them home safely. Charge an extra 100 dollar fee if it requires getting them indoors and layed down. Yep, this could be a nice money making little deal here.
Besides Strickland, what other UK coach got a DUI in KY while the current coach? It is a job requirement for UK coaches to all have at least one DUI while in Lexington, I'm just asking.

Eddie Sutton and Billy Clyde managed to get them AFTER they were UK coach, but it was common knowledge that both were drunks. Also, Strickland had a bigger history of DUI than Billy G. did.
Nice spin though, and before you google it, Kevin Willard got one while an assistant coach at U of L.
No spin. Just the facts in response to the original posts question which was:
"It is a job requirement for UK coaches to all have at least one DUI while in Lexington, I'm just asking."
Apparently this was the first time.
Not the first time at all. Eddie Sutton had three DUI's while at UK. One of them he was technically stll part of the program, even though he was in the process of being crap canned. Besides that the guy was drove home more than Miss Daisy to keep him out of trouble, I know that for a fact, got that one straight from a State Trooper in the know. Eddie Sutton was a Lush. Billy Clyde was a Lush. But hey some people may call me a Lush, but I'm not in a high profile job either and I don't get behind the wheel when I'm blinded by booze.
Mark,
Do you have any proof of the 3 DUIs at KY? I've done some research and can't find it.
In fact, this USA Today article about his arrest in 2006 basically says it was his first arrest:

"Sutton underwent treatment at the Betty Ford Center in 1987 while he was coach at Kentucky. When discussing the issue three years later, he said, "I've dealt with it."Mark,

He had problems before he got to UK and so did Billy Clyde, if you do a search on this board you will find all about it. Bottom line they are drunks, they were drunks before they got to UK and were the same while the way here, and the same after they left.
Do you not find it odd that Suton got no DUI's while he was the coach at UK and Billy G. got none until after he left UK. Surely the Lexington police are not covering up for them!
I beleive the reason for the cable tier that runs almost all the way around New Circle road in the median was the Billy Clyde bumper car ring ropes so he will at least stay on his side of the Circle as he tried to get home to Versailles.
If it is a job requirement to be a Drunk DUI Driver to coach UK, the requirement to Coach UofL is just a big higher, beacuse it requires Woman-that is not your wife, Italian Restaurant - where sexual "transaction" took place, $3000 in Abortion money, "X" of dollars in Extortion Money and just one other thing - Get drilled by California in the First Round of the 2010 NCAA Tourney.
