G3 Eagle 165 has a new 9.9 4 stroke, Yamaha High Thurst and a big 11 inch prop/7 pitch on it. Wide open throttle with 2 fisherman onboard is just 2800 rpm.

Is it just a matter of going to a 9 inch wheel, to get rpm WOT up to the recommended 4500-5500 range, or do ya think this is just the wrong motor for the boat.....i,e, should it be the regular 4 stroke 9.9 and not the HT?
