Fri...stripped 5 barnstall and pressure washed entire barn that hadn't been done in 2 yrs. Bird crap was awful. Threw my clothes in the garbage once I was finished. Hauled one load of cedar shavings and filled 2 stalls.
Sat...Flea market in the AM until 4. Then to barn to haul another load of sawdust and feed and worm mares. We will have one of three that will foal in about 10 days.
Sun ....started at 5:30am Hauled another load of sawdust to finish off the stalls. Feed and worm the 2 2yr olds and 3 yrlings. I have to open and close the gate and bring each horse in by itself. the little yrling Geilding is always last.

He sometimes gets pissed. This morning was no different. He was biting the metal gate. When I shanked him up and opened the gate, it was rodeo time across the paddock. Finally got a hold and turned him. Little pheckerhead almost got my foot....
THey were none to happy about the worming but loved the clean stalls. Not one of them messed them up either.
All this before 8am, then off to work the Flea market again until 3pm. Home them over the hill to mow around the barn...
I'm freakin beat.....but accomplished alot.

Got a very close friend and my niece that both own horses. I tell them both often they are nuts, waaay too much work, lol. They both love them though and I guess it's a labor of love it must be. Wow, it takes alot of your time, and it ain't cheap neither.
Yeah, I'm glad I'm not footin the bill...LOL!
I have three horses myself, both daughters show, so I don't mind all the extra work as long as it keeps there mind off the boy's.LOL

You remind me of the Jamacians on In Living Color where they complained because the lazy people only had ONE job!
Every time I go up to Grandma's I get to go down and help Uncle Mark do stuff like this. What they do with horses is much less labor intensive, but it's still a pain in the arse. I can only imagine what type of operation you've got going over there. Stop in over at the rodeo and we can have a conference to discuss strategies on slowing that pace down while at the same time speeding up the game........Fri...stripped 5 barnstall and pressure washed entire barn that hadn't been done in 2 yrs. Reminds me of my racetrack days, which is what first brought me to this great state. Here's one thing I can sure say I agree with Ronald Reagan on: "There's nothing better for the inside of a man than the outside of a horse."
