Aluminum paint?

I'm getting ready to paint an old jonboat, just wondering what type of paint to buy. Also need to know if I have to remove all of the old paint or just what is lose. I have a sprayer so I'm looking for something I can buy by the quart. Thanks for all suggestions!

Depends on how good you want it to look.If you want it to look 'just better' id scape off the lose and shoot some primer on it and then some good metal paint.If you want it to look great hit it with a sander.

I pressure washed it and a lot of old paint came off. I think I will sand it some and see what else comes off. Found aluminum primer at home depot. I'll give it a try.
