    Boone Lake???

Heading to Boone the second week of June with the family. Never been. I was hoping someone could give me some advice or let me know where I should start. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in Lexington and only going to be down for 3 days. Thanks again.

We have fished Boone a few times and the lake was not what we expected and was very boring and disappointing. Many have said the same thing while still others thoroughly enjoy fishing it.

There are lots of rocky hazards just under the water and lots of boaters have lost props and broken the foot off their motors. One area is particularly bad in a curve near a marina. Most of the lake is safe but be careful when going in close to the bank.

TWRA has issued a "precautionary advisory" against eating catfish and carp from Boone due to Chlordane.
