    Obama and the oil spill

I just saw on the news that Obama said it was now his job to stop the oil leak and see that the mess is cleaned up. Well if I waited 3 weeks to get on top of a major problem in my job I would be fired. Why in the world has he not done anything yet? He is the leader, I say that cautiously, of the free world and could have got something done a lot quicker. Just my thoughts.

Re: Obama and the oil spill

Well you know I have been wondering whats been going on with this oil spill and why oh why is it not fixed. I saw some sad pictures of the oil sludge on the shores of either ALabama or Louisanna. Their environmental clean up crews are out helping out the oiled birds etc and shovelling the sludge off the shore. You know at first I would say it would be BP's responsibility to fix the leak as they are the company that is pumping the oil. But since they have failed miserably, I have been surprised the government hasnt stepped in to find a solution to this tragedy. I mean who cares who fixes it as long as one of them or them both working together to stop the leak. When it comes to big business I just shake my head.

You are 100% correct, who cares who fixes it. And bp's attempts at fixing it have sucked at best. I think we should boycott bp. Its sad cause in the end, when its all said and done, we the americian people will be picking up the tab for all this mess.

This is what happens when special interests get their foot in the door.I'll bet there are already pols trying to get this fixed for BP.Now you know why they are called the seven deadly sins, greed is near the top.

Re: Obama and the oil spill

This is turning out to be another major failure for this administration. How many times has Barry been there to see the damage? I bet if it was a voting base like New Orleans he would have been down there with Al Sharpton babbling about how the "chocolate city" will be back and money isn't a problem two or three times by now.

The gubment can't fix this but how much of an obstacle do you think they present? My guess is alot.

Wonder if Barry is so concerned that (a month of being concerned) he is gonna push BP aside? Naw....thats a money train for him and the dems never mind.

Wonder if BP isn't letting other contractors get involved...is that possible? Would they just say it's my oil stay away we will fix it?

Did you see James Carville dogging Barry about not doing enough? LOL the Dems are attacking eachother over this which proves to me that Barry has dropped the ball even if it was just showing concern.
People who love the liberal way and their wonderful leader don't want to blame him but one of their pitbulls has had enough. Give it to them Mr. Carville!!! LOL

He can't get out of Air Force One long enough to see the damage. He's too busy flying around America chewing up our tax dollars campaiging for Barbara Boxer and any other liberal Democrat he hopes to see re-elected. He and his healthy wife just ate a ten thousand dollar meal the other night on our nickle.

I don't like anything this man does, zero, zilch, nada, he's useless in every way. Oh I forgot, he talks good, that's so IMPORTANT to some of you people, lol.

Well I wasnt going to go there but......One good use for him-I bet if they got him some normal sized ears, in a transplant or something, bp could use his current ears to plug that oil leak...I mean look at those things...he looks like a taxi cab going down the road with its doors open.....

If the government has resources it's been holding back, that could have actually implemented a fix, then I'm right with you in blaming them. My impression all along has been that the fix had to be left to those doing the drilling, only because they were the only ones with the equipment necessary to fix it. But if ANYBODY else, another oil company, the Coast Guard, the Navy, or even PETA, is able to fix it, then I say bring 'em and let's get it plugged.
