Tipsaw Lake

Hey, first time poster, just wondering if anybody went to Tipsaw this weekend???

I've been told the road leading into the lake is washed out and it's been closed. Maybe someone can shed some light on the situation because I'm not sure it's still closed.

it opened up last wednesday but the road still isnt completely paved, leaving it rough and nasty to drive on. the common word is that people are slaying them there...i went by on saturday but there were only about 7 boats out

I camped there all weekend, road is open, but a little rough here and there. This was my first time fishing this lake, but got out Fri-Mon. fished for panfish and bass. And IMO this lake is horrible.... Shallow weed filled, little lake. I caught some little dinks, but for the most part fishing was a bust. Talked to every boat I passed, and nobody was catching fish, did have a few tell me that the redear and gills have been biting in the last couple weeks, but have moved off beds and are scarce. To each his own, but I will pass on this lake in the future.

Went to Tipsaw today , (bass fishing) , bites where hard to come by , did get a few topwater early on around daybreak . Only caught three , little ones . Weeds are getting up there , but the water was also down a little !
