rough river conditions and bite

im coming to rough this weekend to fish 1st time up there this year and i have never fished it when the water was up can anyone help me with any ideas

I go to rough and fish because it is close to me and i have a friend who lives a mile from it and he is determend to learn how to fish it.
I went a few days ago and rob hooked into something big and broke his line we soon found out it was a garr. We had alot of garr hits that day.
We could see them hitting the lure when it got close to the boat..
There is big fish in rough but it is WAY OVER FISHED allways has ben.

agreed... in that area, Barren is the best fishing lake followed by Nolin... and since Nolin is now at summer pool and stabilized that is where i would head if i were fishing in that area... for me KY Lake isnt an option for a day trip... its 4 hours away as opposed to 2 hrs with Rough/Nolin/Barren, so i understand if the original OP is looking at closer lakes.
