The wife, kids and i are planning a fishing trip in about 3 weeks just wanting to know where everyone would go as we are looking for ideas. We had thought about lake sinclair or lake seminole. Anywhere that is within about an 8 hour drive. And guntersville is out because i have fished it alot and would like to try somewhere new.
Fished sinclair,my son has a home on it, It wasn't my cup of tea. Oconee is close by, but seminole is a big good lake, longer drive though. Want a better bet, there are a chain of lakes in north georgia, excuse the spelling but one of them is chatagua or something like that, there is another one I liked quite a bit, but forget the name, its got brown trout, georgia strain LMB chain pickeral of fair size, and lots of good panfish. Not as crowded as lanier, or sinclair, and alittloe more scenic, go to the georgia listing here, the lakes are usually mentioned. Burton is the lake I was talking about, I got a 7/12 LMB there my son got a 9/14 the same day.
