    the ohio river

I put in at cox's park yesterday, it's a public park with boat ramp and parking. I don't really understand, a big red sign thats posted their. it said idle speed only, from mcalpines lock and dam to six mile island. from 12: pm to 1: am as wide as that river is, the sign don't make sense. has anyone else seen this sign, did I read it right?

I didn't get to fish with doug, he went to nolin. we had plans to fish together today. but it may be to wet for him today. anyway I fished below the dam monday, caught 2 small ones. a little channel about 3 pound. and a little blue about 10 pound. think I missed 2 or 3 from not knowing what I was doing. had my clicker set and either the current or a fish would strip off line, when I would try to set the hook. I would pull it away from them. that was my first time fishing their. if doug don't call. think I'll try it again late this afternoon and a while tonight. if your free to fish a while tonight or if you have any tips for me. send me a pm. fishing below the dam is something different for me.
