Does anyone know where to go catch a bluegill at? Wanting the wife and I to go out Saturday and catch a few. Most likely will put in at bever creek. Thanks for any suggestions
Saw a guy down there his last weekend that was tying off in the flooded timber to get shade and fishing wax worms... he said he caught a lot of fish, but mostly small ones, nothing big...
Take crickets and fish around the 31e bridge by the chunk rock at the ends. I remember by a few years ago motherinlaw catching some 10-12 inch bluegill there. I was surprised at the size of them. Good luck,jc
which 31e bridge? it crosses at Skaggs, Peter, and teh Main lake...
True, i forgot--havent been there in a while--it was the main lake where it crosses
i know a great area for the person wanting to catch bluegill. i live on brl and take my little boy fishing for them ALOT, when he is with me it has to be something that bites constantly or i hear (DAD, lets go to the house, over and over and over). go to the beaver creek boat ramp throw out anywhere from the ramp all the way down the rock wall that leads out to the point. the closer you get the nightcrawlers to the rock wall the better.![]()
Im gonna give this a try... i usually put in at beaver creek... so i may let the wife fish here... since she gets bored easily too.
there is a large bolder on the right side of the boat ramp right there on BC this thing is full of cracks and crevices that hold a ton of crawfish and bait minnows. I was the camp host there a few years back and fished the whole area just to find the most fish just a few feet from the ramp also a lot of crappie there as well, Good luck!
Thanks for the replys. That is exactly what I was trying to do. Take the wife without her getting bored. We caught numbers in Green creek in the shade on nightcrawlers. Thanks again guys
