White bass jumps @ Nolin

Took the family up to Nolin Lake yesterday for some skiing/tubing. We had a ball! Of course, I always keep my eyes peeled on the water for fish activity.........and I noticed white bass jumps happening everywhere! Had my 8ft 5wt in the boat, so when everyone was on the beach eating, I snuck out on a mission, lol! Tied on a white clouser and located an active group of whities that would come up every 2-3minutes. Everytime the school would come up, I would catch 2-3 whities before they would head back down......FUN!!! They weren't huge, maybe averaged 12", but lots of fun! Oh yeah, the water temp was 92.5 degrees!!! Unbelievable!

Great job, Rich! I was out at Nolin over the weekend swimming and tubing with a big group. It killed me to see bass ambushing shad without a fishing rod of any kind handy. Glad to hear you made the most of it.
